Description
Apollo, or the GX-AE/A & GF-A series of advanced-level analytical/precision balances, is designed to be appropriate for use in various automated weighing applications as well as in laboratories, with unique features such as ISD, ECL and FRD.
The Impact Shock Detection (ISD) function indicates the magnitude of an impact to the weight sensor. The weight sensor of a high-precision balance, regardless of its manufacturer, will break in a short period if it is continuously affected by high impact shocks (e.g. in factories where materials are placed roughly by machines or thrown by operators). With the ISD function, you can see what degree of impact shock is safe or unsafe for the balance and take preventive measures as necessary.
The Electronically Controlled Load (ECL) technology, which generates a minute load by purposely altering the equilibrium state of the weight sensor, enables what A&D calls Auto Precision Assessment (APA). It shows in just 1.5 minutes the standard deviation obtained from 10 repeated weighings with ECL on the spot to check the balance and its installation environment. This is useful, for example, when the balance is already embedded in a system and it is difficult to perform a repeatability test using an actual weight.
The Flow Rate Display (FRD) function calculates and displays/outputs the mass flow rate or volume flow rate (by entering the density of the material) to improve the accuracy and stability of transfer pumps, constant supply devices, etc. You are no longer required to use a timer and manually perform the calculation, or connect the balance to a PC. Both of these methods are error-prone.
