The new SA1XL thermocouple from OMEGA achieves response time of less than 0.15 seconds. This is constructed using a Kapton/fibreglass junction insulation along with a fibreglass-insulated lead wire, with silicon-based, self-adhesive backing for easy installation (25mm by 9.5mm patch). It can be used as a self-adhering thermocouple for temperatures ranging from -73C to 260°C. When used with an OMEGABOND® Air Set Cement “Cement-On”, the thermocouple can be cemented in place for reading temperatures up to 315°C.

The SA1XL thermocouple is available in K, T, and J thermocouple types , and stocked in 1, 2, and 3 metre lengths. Custom lead lengths are also available, as well as models with stainless steel overbraid. Stripped leads are standard, with optional moulded mini-plug with integral strain relief.
